Meeting Minutes
Call to order: Meeting called to order at 6 PM by President Janet Stanley
Minutes: Minutes from March 2019 meeting reviewed, no changes. Motion to accept made by Sue Barker and seconded by Harry Barse
Treasurer’s Report: Balance: $1962.27
Correspondence: Music on main street has opportunities for a nonprofit at each concert to sell some type of concession. Chamber will do this if no one wants one of the nights as we do not want to take this from any of the needy organizations.
Old Business:
There will be no May day celebration this year.
Second annual Canjo slam is scheduled for August 10th. Looking to add 4 additional Co-ed teams.
New Business:
The new mayor will attend the meeting to give updates next month.
Youth center is holding a family day 4/13/19
Johnstone’s Spring open house is 4/14/19 10-4.
Lee’s Christmas shop will host Easter Bunny from 11-3 Saturday.
Bike tour is 7/12/19, will confirm the music is being provided by the village.
There is a new food truck Homestead Harvest in the corner of Lee’s parking lot.
Membership: Membership letters have gone out. We hope everyone will renew, remember you can complete your membership on line on our website.
Fundraising: Chamber is in need of a fund raiser, send ideas or suggestions to Janet Stanley.
Other: Eddie Barone from Empower federal credit union presented on managing your credit. Empower offers several services such as financial counseling and tax preparation.
Meetings: Meetings to be held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Next Chamber meeting 5/7/19 at Arkell Center at 6 PM.
